Dragons at the Sho...

Just thought I would share some of the photos from the Dragons exhibition at the Sho Gallery last weekend.  It was a fantastic night and a lot of money was raised for charity.  You can head on over to the Sho Gallery website and purchase the Dragons (including mine) here : http://thesho-case.com/73-dragons

There were so many people we spilt outside the gallery.  A really amazing night for a very worthy cause.  A lot of the money spent on any Dragons bought from the shop goes to Diabetes UK, so head on over and see which one takes your fancy.
(Thank you to the Sho Gallery and Neese for the photos)

Dragons Custom Reveal...

A few months ago I was asked to take part in an upcoming show/exhibition curated by the fantastic Andy Kelly, called 'Dragons'.  Each of the participating artists received a Munnyworld Kracka to customise and transform into their own version of a Dragon.

Mine is finally finished and here are the photos, as you can see in the photos of the blanks I shared above, each Kracka comes with an accessory and mine came with a lovely white hat.  Which I turned into.... A nest, full of hand painted Dragon eggs!

The exhibition is taking place at The Sho Gallery, 1A Inverness Place, Cardiff, CF24 4RU on the 18th August 2012.

The Dragon customs will be on The Sho Gallery website shop for a full 3 weeks prior to the show (but not for sale) you can view them here : http://thesho-case.com/dragons/354-dragons.html

When the show opens at 6pm on the 18th all pieces will be for sale and available to take away on the night.
People who cannot make the show will be able to call the gallery while the show is on and buy the custom they want.

To keep up to date with news and see the other customs, visit the website http://flatties.co.uk/dragons/

Dragon Goodies...

As you all know, I am exhibiting in the Dragons Custom Show on the 18th August at the Sho Gallery in Cardiff : http://flatties.co.uk/dragons/

On the night, there will be 24 goodie bags for the first 24 people to walk through the door.  We all got the chance to add something to those bags and I have put together 24 randomly selected packs which include things like postacrds, badges and stickers.  BUT in 9 of those random packs will also be a mini Dragon plush! I have colour co-ordinated these to match my Dragons custom creature, but remember there are only 9 of these in amongst the 24 bags ;)

ToyCon UK 2013...

I was a little over excited today when I recieved an email confirming me as an official exhibitor at next years, first ever, ToyCon UK.  There are some really amazing artists and toy designers confirmed already, with a lot more to come.  I will add info and let you know what will be available from me, closer to the time (but there will 100% be Freshly Caught Feelings (the jarred ones) and Tea Feelings available to sniff and buy on the day).

Heavy Metal Qee is nearly here...

There are only a few days before I head on up to London for the Heavy Metal Qee, meet the artists night at Forbidden Planet, 79 Shaftesbury Ave, London, WC2H 8JR.
The exhibition has been up since the 12th and will be there until the 19th, when over 20 of the artists involved will be there to sign your HMQ books (available to buy now from Fugi Me : http://www.fugi.me/product/heavy-metal-qee-book).  Every artist, including myself, has a two page spread on their custom, so bring yours to the show and get them signed.

There are some really awesome artists involved including A little Stranger, Lunartik, Jon-Paul Kaiser, Jim Freckingham, DMS, Lisa Rae Hansen, RunDMB, Fadeworks, Sneaky Raccoon, Lunabee, Hoakser, Zukaty, Fordybo, Tesselate, Flatties, Rhys Inkbotz Brown, PJ Constable, and Planet Domu.

There are photos of the exhibition at the HMQ website : http://www.heavymetalqee.com/gallery/the-display/

Don't forget to have a look at mine if you are in London and fancy a look.

This whole exhibition (book and all) has been organised and curated by Dan Perry, he has done a really spectacular job and I can't wait for Thursday!

Heavy Metal Qee is just around the corner...

For those of you who remember my custom for the Heavy Metal Qee exhibition that I released photos of late last year..... it is not long until the exhibition itself!

19th of April I will be heading to London for the show and it promises to be a truly awesome night.  Daniel Perry, the man behind the show, has done such an amazing job of organising this whole event.  My Qee is third in from the right on the bottom row in the flyer above ;)

It was a really fun piece to create and my first custom, but hopefully I will do more in the future.  I can't wait!
